Bolloré Group

The Bolloré Group was founded in 1822 and is majority owned by the Bolloré family.  A proportion of the company is listed on the Paris Bourse.

The Bolloré Group operates in a number of sectors, providing services to various industrial markets (plastic films, electric batteries and thin papers) as well as transportation in Africa (freightforwarding, stevedoring and railways) and international logistics.  It provides fuel distribution and dedicated terminals and systems.  It also manages agro-industrial assets (rubber and oil palm plantations) as well as a financial portfolio.  The Group has also invested in the communication and media sector.

It claims to be the world's leading producer of film for capacitors and the world's third largest producer of shrink-wrap films for packaging; a world leader in the manufacture of thin papers for printing; a world leader in terminals and access control and identification systems for air travel.  In addition it claims to be the second largest French distributor of domestic fuel; the number one in France for air freight forwarding and one of the five leading groups in Europe for transport logistics as well as a leading player worldwide in transport and logistics in Africa.

Bolloré is a sister company to SAGA.  The holding company of the two companies is Bolloré Investissement, whose ultimate owner is Financiere de l'Odet.
