Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc. (Cat Logistics) was formed in 1987 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. to provide customised supply chain solutions to its parent company and other customers worldwide.  Its service capabilities include managing transportation, inventory and distribution centers, forecasting, information management, and network/facility design as well as operational process experience.
 
It provides services to more than 60 companies in industries including aerospace and defense, high tech and electronics, industrial, oil and gas, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and manufacturing logistics. 
 
According to estimates, its 2007 gross revenues were $3.15bn with realised net revenues of $2.12bn.  In 2008, its revenues were €2,630m. In 2009 it decreased to €2,460m (Transport Intelligence estimate).
