FSUE Russian Post

FSUE Russian Post (Russian: По́чта Росси́и), is the Federal State Unitary Enterprise postal authority of Russia. The company is responsible for the delivery of mail in Russia, and the issuing of postage stamps. Other services including telecom, shipping, retail and financial services are also provided.

Russian Post has 84 branches, 42,000 post offices  and 415,000 employees. Postal employees collect, process and deliver more than 1.5bn letters, 48m parcels and over 190m money orders annually. The company's headquarters are located in Moscow.  Russian Post is one of Russia's largest companies, earning annual revenues in excess of $1.5bn. 

Since its conversion to a Federal State Unitary Enterprise in 2002, Russian Post has made significant investments in its infrastructure in an effort to improve its financial and operational efficiency and shake off its reputation for providing a slow and unreliable service.  Further, Russia's rapid economic growth has led to a significant increase in the demand for its services.  However, the prices of these services has not been indexed, leading to multi billion ruble losses in 2006 and 2007 for the enterprise, and in 2008 the company was forced to renew its commitment to billions more rubles in capital investment.
