Gebrüder Weiss is the biggest privately owned freight forwarder in Austria (owned by the Senger-Weiss and Jerie families) and has been in business in one form or another for more than 550 years. The Gebrüder Weiss network includes 134 company branches, industrial premises and locations throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
Gebrüder Weiss is a member of System Alliance Europe, a European cargo network partnership made up of medium-sized groupage forwarding companies. In June 2005 16 founders from 5 different European countries officially founded the System Alliance Europe partnership. By 2006 the partnership had grown to 45 partners covering 20 European countries.
In 2008 revenues were €990m.
