Founded in 1972, Irish Express Cargo has developed from its early days as a pure freight forwarder and is now recognised as a major operator providing logistics solutions to companies such as Dell and Intel. The company is also a leading distributor of Music CD's between the UK and Ireland.
The company was acquired by Flextronics Inc. in September 2000, a world leader in Electronic Manufacturing services to technology companies employing 95,000 members of staff and turning over $17bn in 2003.
In 2006 it had recvenues of €79.8m down from about €250m in 2000.
