China Eastern Airlines Corporation Ltd

China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (China Eastern) was incorporated in 1995.  It is an air carrier in China and operates in the business of civil aviation, including the provision of passenger, cargo, mail delivery and other extended transportation services. It is the main air carrier serving Shanghai.  The airline operates in two main business segments: Passenger and Cargo and Logistics.  It is the principal provider of airport ground services at both Hongqiao Airport and Pudong International Airport.  China Eastern operates designated cargo aircraft and also transports cargo and mail on its passenger flights.

The company is headquartered in Shanghai and in addition to its main airlines business, it is involved in general aviation, import and export trade, food, tourism, real estate, and media.  It has over 40 sales offices across China.  The airline's network covers eastern and western parts of China and connects with Asia, Europe, Australia and Americas.

The China Eastern Group is the Corporation's parent company.

In 2008 the company had revenues of CNY41.07bn.
