Brief Profile
The Grimaldi Group was established over 50 years ago in Italy by the Grimaldi family, who are still active in the company, and has expanded to become one of the leading operators of specialist liner services covering the entire Atlantic and Mediterranean range.
It was one of the pioneers of the roll on/ roll off concept and currently has a large fleet of purpose built RoRo and multipurpose RoRo vessels. It made a point to remain at the forefront of maritime technology with 11 new vessels commissioned during the 1986-1993 period and a further 21 vessels ordered to the end of 2001.
History
After developing in the 1960's its maritime services within the Mediterranean, the Group expanded into other areas of the world and further developed the ro/ro concept with increasingly sophisticated and flexible ro/ro multipurpose vessels.
