Brief Profile
Sapec is a family-run company and was founded in 1926 to exploit pyrite mines in Portugal. It gradually expanded into the production and commercialisation of agriculture products, and is an investment holding company with interests in all of the above.
It conducts activities mainly in Portugal, and also in Spain and North America, operating six main sectors: agrochemical, micronutrients, chemical distribution, food processing distribution, logistics, and energy. It also has holdings in real estate and information technology.
It recorded revenues of €456.80m in 2010.
