It was founded as a joint venture between Galencia and Alliance Unichem (the former name of Alliance Boots), in 1999. In 2005, Alliance UniChem completed the acquisition of Alloga, from Galenica.
Alloga is part the Pharmaceutical and Wholesale Division of Alliance Boots.
