2008

July - At the annual general meeting of the Kuehne + Nagel group of companies in Greece the decision was taken to establish Kuehne + Nagel A.E., to provide the full range of logistics services under one brand. The new company will be headquartered in Athens and operate branches in Thessaloniki and the Attica region.

Management Change

Kriton Ioannidis, longtime president and CEO of Proodos S.A., and its board member Manfred Reuter left the company. New Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel A.E. was Frank Lehner.

The Hellenic and International Transport Company PROODOS S.A. was founded in 1946 in Athens.  The position of PROODOS S.A. rose steadily after establishing a relationship with Kuehne + Nagel in the 1950s so that the company soon distinguished itself from the other forwarding companies so that it became a significant company by the early 1980s.  Since then PROODOS S.A. has been a leading company in the field of international transport in Greece.

PROODOS S.A. together with its subsidiary employs 415 people.  

PROODOS S.A. has been a member of IATA since 1965 and for many years has ranked at the top among IATA's agents in Greece.
