March – AmerisourceBergen Corporation (NYSE: ABC) announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase World Courier Group, Inc., a privately held leading global specialty transportation and logistics provider for the biopharmaceutical industry, for $520m in cash.

World Courier Management Inc. provides courier services worldwide. It was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut with additional offices and investigational drug storage facilities in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East/Africa, and Asia/the Pacific Rim.

It offers temperature-controlled transport and logistics and other related services to the medical, hightech, automotive, advertising, and food industries.
