Brief Profile
Originally the road freight subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen Transport (VWT) can best be considered as the in-house forwarding company or even the 4PL for the Volkswagen Group.
It has a procurement budget in excess of €1bn and manages operations as diverse as the chartering of specialist shipping to one of Europe's largest packaging-pools. The company is non asset based with a presence in North and South America, Mexico, South Africa, China and all over Europe.
The company relies upon multi-modal logistics service providers through which it manages group transport. VWT can be regarded as one of Europe's most important automotive logistics companies
