The company was founded under the name of Lexzau, Scharbau in Hamburg in 1879, since 1992 Jörg Conrad has been the owner and active managing director of the group.
Leschaco is active in air freight, contract logistics, sea freight, and tank containers. With worldwide logistics solutions the company has many partners in the machinery and plant engineering industry, automotive industry, chemical industry and associated sectors, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals.
Since June 2011, the group presents itself under the Leschaco brand rather than its former group name of Anker-Leschaco.
