In March 2012, World Courier was acquired by AmerisourceBergen Corporation. Prior to this, World Courier had been a privately held, transportation and logistics provider for the biopharmaceutical industry. As a subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen, World Courier continued to provide temperature-controlled transport, storage and distribution solutions worldwide, only operating as a separate business segment within the group of companies.

World Courier was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut with additional offices and investigational drug storage facilities in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East/Africa, and Asia/the Pacific Rim.

It offers temperature-controlled transport and logistics and other related services to the medical, hightech, automotive, advertising, and food industries.
