NOL (Neptune Orient Lines) is a global transportation company, with core businesses involved in cargo container transportation and logistics.
The group is managed through two business units- Liner (APL) and Logistics (APL Logistics). Historically, the company has been managed through three businesses- Container Shipping, Terminals and Logistics. However, in early 2010 NOL reorganised the group into two segments, integrating Container Shipping and Terminals.
APL offers worldwide ocean shipping and container transport in major trade lanes, including the Trans-Pacific, Trans-Atlantic, Latin America, Asia-Europe and Intra Asia. At January 1, 2013, the company had the world's seventh largest fleet of container vessels in terms of total container capacity.
APL Logistics provides integrated supply chain services in a global scale, including international freight, consolidation, warehousing and distribution management.In 2012, the NOL Group's revenues were $9.5bn.
