In July 2006 SCS Transportation, Inc. announced that effective immediately its name had changed to Saia, Inc and that it would adopt and trade under the new NASDAQ ticker symbol 'SAIA'.  The changes more accurately reflected the company's focus on its sole operating company, Saia, following the completion of the sale of Jevic Transportation, Inc at the end of June 2006. 
 
Saia's revenues for 2009 were $849.00m.
