Brightpoint, Inc. provides supply chain solutions to the wireless industry, including wireless network operators (mobile operators), mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and manufacturers.
The company's operations are divided into two divisions, Distribution and Logistics Services.
In its Distribution arm, Brightpoint purchases a variety of products from manufacturers in the wireless industry, takes ownership of the products, and receives them in its facilities or has them drop-shipped directly to its customers. It markets and sells these products to around 25,000 business-to-business customers.
Its Logistics Services arm offers a much wider range of services to the wireless industry, that are generally fee-based.
