Uni-data was until 2001 a family owned German logistics company, specialising in the high tech sector. It was owned by the Maier brothers until acquired by UPS Supply Chain Solutions. Previous to this it had exapnded internationally backed by a German equity company, building a high tech network through Europe, although it found growth through acquisition problematic. Since acquisition the original management has been replaced and the company has been partly integrated into the European operations of its new parent company.
