London Gateway will be a deep-sea container port and Europe's largest logistics park. It is situated on the north bank of the River Thames, and will provide deep-sea shipping access for the world’s leading businesses to the largest consumer markets in the UK.

It is expected to change the way many consumer goods are transported around the country. It integrates a container port with a logistics park allowing many goods to be sent to destinations without having to be hauled to a distribution centre. Instead, goods can go straight into London Gateway's logistics park to be sorted and then sent direct to shops.

It is set to begin operations in 2013.
