Matson Navigation Company, Inc. (Matson)

Matson Navigation Company, Inc. is the parent company of Matson Integrated Logistics Inc. and Matson Terminals Inc. It forms a combined company known as Matson.

Matson is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc.  Its corporate headquarters are located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Alexander & Baldwin is a diversified corporation with principal businesses in:

• Property Development & Management - developing real property, selling residential and commercial property and managing a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties
• Ocean Transportation - provided through Matson
• Food Products - growing sugar cane & producing raw sugar. Growing, marketing and distributing coffee.

Matson Navigation is the principal carrier of containerised freight and automobiles between the West Coast of America and Hawaii, Guam and Mid-Pacific.

Matson Terminals provide container stevedoring, terminal and equipment maintenance services for Matson in Honolulu. It owns a 105 acre marine terminal in Honolulu which serves as the primary hub for Matson's Hawaii service fleet of container ships and barges. Stevedoring Services of America Terminals (SSAT), which is partly owned by Matson, manages the company's container stevedoring and terminal services in the West Coast ports of Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle.
