Yusen Logistics, based in Tokyo, provides global logistics solutions, including air/ocean freight forwarding, land transportation and contract logistics services through its global operations.
Its services include customs clearance, warehousing, international shipping and agency services, motor vehicle transportation, marine shipping brokerage, leasing of containers, loading equipment, distribution equipment and logistics information systems, real estate leasing and management, as well as other connected business.
NYK Line integrated its logistics businesses Yusen Air and Sea Service (YAS) and NYK Logistics, whereby part of NYK Logistics was transferred to Yusen Air and Sea Service Co. The integration formed the new company Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. on October 1, 2010. The initial integration covered the domestic Japanese businesses, whilst overseas businesses were expected to be completed by April 2012.
In 2011, Yusen Logistics had net revenues of ¥309bn.
